Partici-Patrick is an activity-focused youth education program encompassing daily physical education, character education, and HIV and AIDS awareness. Youth participate in a ten week in-school program working towards completing a marathon during daily physical activity time. Each week a character trait is introduced along with age appropriate HIV and AIDS information.
After logging 40 kilometers, students gather with other schools to run the last 2.2k. They receive a marathon medal, participate in group challenges and activities to celebrate their achievements. This program is based on the belief that if youth develop strong minds and strong bodies, they will make healthy lifestyle choices.
